This graph shows the number of cars (pink) and trucks and buses (yellow) per state. California leads the country in number of both. Among the top ten for number of cars, New York has the fewest relative number of trucks and buses. Meanwhile, price of gas at the pump is creeping back up. This data is sheer number of vehicles in circulation. —wclark
